The beginning of Oppo is easy to find (sort of). There are some buggy posts with weird dates, so you can find them without difficulty.

It is older than three. Oppositelock was a tagged page, so every time someone tagged a post with “oppositelock” it would show up on jalopnik.com/tag/oppositelock

It is older, but whatever that history is, it didn’t make it through the upgrade, at least as part of oppo. If you look at Gamecat’s history for example, there are personal blog posts listed as shared with oppo from before that date, but that don’t appear on oppo proper.
